what hair style is good for an asian? i'm competing with another stylist and i heard mine is asian! What is some good makeup and haircut for an asian?
Asians will either be Winters, meaning dark, almost black to black hair, and looking great in all the jewel colors, ruby red, emerald green, royal blue, pure black, pure white, or pastels colors that are so almost not there they are called icy.
Usually Asian hair is a delight to work with and most straight,
although you do come across a few curlyheads now and then.
They immediately straighten it as it's not concerned hot stuff.
One of the best cuts for an Asian (if the face is right) is the China doll look -- dead straight bangs and long long dead straight hair. (at least to the shoulders).
Another thing is to do an elaborate updo, very elegant, with Japanese combs and stuff in it. And a cherry or blue red lipstick.
If the one you get happens to be an Autumn in color schemes,
it's harder. Japanese tend to love the muddy autumn colors and an on most of them it looks horrid. So if you do go with autumn make-up be carefull to keep it as clear as you can--and maybe do something with green for the eyes and lips pretty neutral in an orange shade, but glossed.
The Autumn asians often have a bit lighter hair.
I hope you get a Winter, because Winter Asians are absolutely stunning when done in their right colors and you can go to anylength of dramatic you want -- just think gorgeously beautiful and not wackily weird.
Good luck. What is some good makeup and haircut for an asian?
That's like asking, ';What is some good makeup and haircut for an American?'; Everyone has different shapes to their faces, not exactly the same skin tone, some are short--some are tall.
Do you know how many countries are in the continent of Asia? Just to name a few, there is India, Vietnam, Korea, Russia, China, Tibet, Mongolia, Japan...
***Since someone sent a nasty email saying that I should automatically know what an ';Asian'; looks like, even though it is the biggest and most diverse continent, here's why I don't:

fuller longer ones work best
makeup... go natural
clothes... red is spectacular
hope this helped!
Au naturel.
Most Asians are totally beautiful, and make-up only detracts from their natural beauty. Also, it's nice when they don't have a hairstyle, they just let it grow long. That nice, flowing, long black hair is so nice.
