Is there really a difference in applying makeup to Asian eyes versus Caucasian eyes?

By Asian, I do mean Chinese, Japanese, other SE Asians...

Do you have to do things slightly different? Is there really a difference in applying makeup to Asian eyes versus Caucasian eyes?
yeah there is a difference. because most asians have monolids (one lid - no crease), they have to apply more eyeliner or eyeshadow for it to show. caucasians have the crease, so that when they open their eyes, it still shows. for most asians, when they look up, it kind of disappears. Is there really a difference in applying makeup to Asian eyes versus Caucasian eyes?
Yes there is a difference. Having applied makeup to allot of women (and men) that are these nationalities, I find it to be quite easy.

Remember that light colours make an area appear large and dark colours will make an area appear small. When lining your eye be sure to NOT follow the line downward or you will create a 'droopy' or closed looking eye.

When applying eye shadow give yourself a 'eye socket line' and use this as your guide when applying your eye shadow design darkest colour on the outer lid and the lightest colour on the inner lid. Be sure to NOT go onto the skin line with the light colour ( on the inner top lid) as this will only enhance that line of skin that over laps.

Try lining the top inner ( inside) lid section that is closest to the bridge of your nose with a dark eye liner. This will make that area appear as though it is going in instead of coming out.

Loads of mascara is good too.

Highlight your brow bone ( only ) and have your darkest eye shadow colour go over your eye just past the half way point, this would depend on the size of your eye width ways.

Hope you have found this helpful!
I think you might because of eye shape. It depends on the look you want too. Since eyeliner makes your eyes pop, Asians might prefer more for their generally smaller eyes.

Yes there is definetly a difference. Because caucasians have the fold in the eyelid, using different color eyeshadows below the fold and above the fold will change the look.
