I'm asian too!!
I think the most important thing is to get the right shade of foundation. And powder. then use a highlighter to accentuate the better features on ur face. Alos, use blush to help contour. I know the typical blush is pinky pinky, but tt jus makes us asian gals look bad (most of us anyway), so go for a darker shade. I use a bronzy coloured blush. Can anyone recommend makeup shades for contouring to change the shape of your face on average Asian skin tone?
You deffinitly can still use bronzer, you just have to use the right shade.
Go into a Sears and ask different makeup specialist's like L'Ancome and Dior what shade of bronzer they would reccomend for your skin tone. But if you insist on getting bronzer yourself (which I highly recommend you don't) you should be looking for a loose powder bronzer, NOT a pressed powder, because the pressed comes off to cakey and thick. The loose powder is easier to blend and control how much you want on your brush. Look for bronzer's with yellow/golden highlight's in it, rather than red or brown.
If you don't want the appearence of a tan colour, and want a more 'flushed' look, go for a medium shade of peach or light coral, these also compliment 'yellow' or oriental skin tones.
Hope this helps!
i have average asian skin I have seen a recommendation somewhere about not using a bronzer because it would look too fake on Asian skin. If so, what would I replace
